I am a photographer and just starting in Quick Time panoramas. Any ideas on the best lens (in terms of focal length) that will help achieve wonderful panoramas of hotels (both exterior and inside their rooms, suites, etc..)? I will be using a Nikon DSLR.

You can use any focal length you want, but there are a couple of considerations. A long lens will need to have more frames to get your 360 degree, on the other hand a wide angle a wide angle needs fewer frames but each frame is distorted by the lens. So a focal length of around 50mm (35mm format) is probably the best compromise.

When I sing, it feels like my voice has to strain or be forced to go down to a low note, and it sounds horrible. Like, if I’m singing along to a low part in a song, I have to sing it higher because my voice doesn’t seem good with low notes….But sometimes I hit them and make them good. Any tips on how to somehow "open up" my throat to make them come out easier?

The easiest way to hit those low notes are to do vocal exercises that go 5 notes down at a time. Moving down a half step each time. A vowel that lowers the larynx (voice box) is the easiest, usually a "ya" worked really well! Each time relaxing your throat more and more. One thing you can do is gently massage your throat as you sing as a reminder to keep your throat relaxed. Whatever you do, do not push your voice beyond what is comfortable. That is how damage is done!

Just keep in mind that everyone’s voice is different. Some people can sing high, some low. Listen to your body, it will tell you when you are straining.

I’ve been messing around with a guitar and learning tabs for about 2 years, but never really actually learned how to play. Now I want my first serious guitar. I kinda want a guitar that I could take to shows and stuff once I get good enough.

I would want it to sound like Dance Gavin Dance, Taking Back Sunday on Tell All Your Friends, and From First to Last.

I’ve been looking at a Epiphone SG or LP.

Focus on a guitar that feels good in your hands. You can change just about anything about a guitar including how it sounds, what it looks like, etc but you can’t change the neck. If the neck feels good, go for it.

You can always upgrade your pickups later to get a better sound, if necessary.

Oh yeah, don’t get one that’s too heavy for you. If you can put a strap on it and walk around with no discomfort for at least ten minutes, then the guitar is a good weight for you. And yes, if you want to gig you should be practicing standing up once you figure out where your fingers go.

Most of the sound you’re looking for is going to come from a good amp and speaker combination - so get a guitar that works for you, make sure it has humbuckers, and then focus on getting an amp that will help you get that sound.

You probably don’t want to spend less than 200$. I haven’t seen a guitar less than 200$ yet that’s really worth it… well, brand new at least. Although I did once see some Jacksons on sale for less than 200$ that tempted me mightily…. You want hardware that won’t go out of tune, a non-plywood body, and humbucking pickups.

I urge you to stay away from the trem bars ie whammy bars. Unless they’re really well made they tend to go out of tune pretty fast… you don’t want that. Get a fixed bridge guitar that fits your hands and isn’t too heavy to play standing up.

Epiphones are pretty decent guitars, too, you wouldn’t go wrong if you went that direction and they worked for your hands.

I heard it yesterday on radio station 93.7 which is a christian station and it was a guy singer and part of the chorus says, "don’t you know that youre beautiful" but that isn’t the name of the song or anything. All ive found is some song by kellie pickler or something and james blunt but theyre both not it. Anyone know what this song might be? Thankss!!!!

I love that song! It is called something like, "More Beautiful You"! That’s an awesome song, it’s by Jonny Diaz. He wrote this love song for his wife, but then turned it into a Christian song.:)

I have looked on many guitar tab websites, but I could not find a tab that had 5 stars. Since I do not have perfect pitch, I cannot tell if a 4 star tab is really close. So what tab do you guitar players use?

I have a handful of movie clips for my English project. The only downside is that they come with music that is different from the music I’m using. My question is, how do you remove or mute music from a movie clip, that’s been converted to a audio file, and still have the music? Is that even possible?
