Many people just starting out on their blues guitar lesson, often question if a better choice would be using an electric guitar. Not a bad question at all, since the greats are often working with an electric or acoustic electric guitar.
The best answer to this question however, is play what ever you have available. Evening if you’re using an acoustic, you can do pretty much anything that’s done on an electric, with the exception of a few more advanced techniques.
At the start, don’t be in a hurry to blow your last dollar on an electric guitar. At a minimum, wait until you have resolved that playing the blues on guitar is really what you want to do.
So enjoy that blues guitar lesson and just continue to work on your chops with the instrument you have at hand.
