Our choir are up for a challenge. We have Few, but very strong Sopranos.The majority of the Choir are Mid Teens but there are some younger and less Experienced singers in it. We are looking for a fun Musical theater song, that will Challenge us!

Maybe you could do a something from Fiddler on the Roof. Songs from A Chorus Line would be more challenging, but they would be extremely fun too! Be Our Guest from Beauty and the Beast would be cool.

He is a male. I am going to get an engraved bracelet for my female choir director, but to be fair I have to find something for him too! Help! I am out of ideas… This is for Christmas.

you could get him a tie with a piano on it or music notes or maybe make him a posterboard card and have the whole class sign it. another good idea is to make a dvd with pictures of your choir and concerts (if you have any) for both of your directors to share. you could always get him an itunes card lol or maybe just a really sweet christmas ornament. maybe something like personalized with his name on it, like a picture frame of your choir in it. just some ideas, hope i helped!

Im looking for a show that a choir can do where around 12-18 people can all have fairly equal parts. For example last year we performed Smokey Joe’s Cafe.

At show choir competitions, how do the judges pick one best male/female performer out of all the different show choirs and all the different people in each individual one?

i’m in 8th grade, and i’m in show choir. i haven’t had a competition yet, ours is at hershey in may, but i’d assume it is somewhat like auditioning for show choir. it will probably be judged by your expression, (make sure to smile a lot) tone, how well you have the dances and notes down, how loud you are, (sing out but dont overpower the rest of the group) and basically just overall quality in singing.

The choir group is 16 twelve year old girls. It’s an end of the year performance not a competition. Any songs that are short and easy to sing will do.
