Where can I find some good free Guitar Tab software?
Im just starting out on the guitar and everyone is telling me to learn how to play tabs on the guitar. I have looked at them and can play them a little bit but someone told me that there is software that will help you to learn. Anyone know where I can find it or what it is?
Hello there,
I don’t know about the software, but I can give you some other instructional material.
First here is a link to a video lesson at Youtube. This guy has a series of 12 lessons there. He covers the basics very well. You can learn a lot from him.

Here is a link to an article about how to read tabs.

Lastly, here is a link to a chord chart. This is handy if you need to look up how to finger a chord.

Later,
What does it mean when their are multiple slides behind a note in a guitar tab?
http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/a/ac_dc/back_in_black_ver5_tab.htm
like 6/// for instance, does this just mean to repeat the slide two more times?
yeah, thanks anyways, I know its not a typo because its the highest rated version of the tab. I’ll just listen and see what it sounds like.
Just when you thought your question was only gonna be answered by morons, this guy shows up.
That means to slide up to an unspecified point on the neck. Just hold the note for however long it takes, then throw your hand towards the body of the guitar without giving up pressure right away, let go when and where you feel like it, then go back and continue wherever it was you left off. Rock’n'roll, man, rock’n'roll.
Where can I find the full guitar tab for Migra by Santana?
I have been looking all over the internet for a the full guitar tab music for the song Migra by Santana. I have found some but they all end after the 8th riff and skip to the solo’s when I want to know the tab for the riffs after that too.
Any idea’s where I can find it online, for free and use it without downloading it?
Thanks:)

Does anyone know a good guitar tab site?
I know almost everyone is going to say ultimate guitar. The problem with that is twice now I have picked up viruses from that site. The last virus being very difficult to fix. Wasn’t sure if anyone knew of a site where I could look up tabs without the worry of a virus.
This is by far, one of the best site and virus free

What are some easy acoustic guitar tabs, that would help me create my own song? or any good tab sites?
I’ve checked out ultimate guitar tabs…but i don’t know where to look. I need really easy but awesome sounding, folky/emo sounding acoustic cords. ha I’m not ripping anybody off…I just need an idea where to start. I know i should learn the real way…give me a break I’m trying to learn a million things at once lol.
ok, ill help you out, lets seee
first of all, i started with basics, then i sang while randomly hitting chords,
literally XD
but then i realized that i was hitting actual notes, making songs isent as easy as people make it seem or sound. its actually quite fun but hard. you have to make sure all of it is in place, timing is correct, and lyrics that go with it. ok well the songs i started with are, your guardian angel by red jumpsuit. its extremely easy, but very very catchy to ze ear XD, i learned it within 20 mins entirely without mistakes, so yeah, its going to say you need to tune into Cminor, but you can tune down to D its basically the same fuggin thing.
another songs thats easy to practice for this would be, ziggys stardust , i thinks thats the name look it up on google , it prepairs your fingures for the hell theyll be in xD, trust me i know T^T
ive been playing since i was 5 years old and i just recently atempted acoustic and im quite good at it, and its still pretty fuggin hard. X_X
but good luck if you need more help i can make you videos of easy songs to play,
heres my Screen name, ,myspace, and msn,

Is there a bass guitar tab book for playing melody on the bass?
I have been slowly learning to play bass guitar over the past year, and am interested in playing the guitar parts of songs on the bass, rather than playing the typical "rhythm section" bass parts. There are many books that have bass tabs, but it seems they all show the typical bass part. Does anyone know of any books that show bass tabs for the guitar/melody parts?
You can try 911 or the following
