Who cares if you are black or white or whatever? This is great!

  2. klimtart says:

    and before everyone …
and before everyone freaks out. i was merely talking about this performance.
Toto is great soulful band and yes they are white guys.
there is a difference and it’s a feel. some people have it.
sorry to offend you, Toto has it. . . soul that is.

  3. klimtart says:

    a Little sensitive. …
    a Little sensitive. aren’t you ?

  4. madwitch100 says:

Ah, as to it being …
Ah, as to it being too “white”- have you looked at pictures of Toto recently…?

  5. Jeebs24 says:

    Yeah, because white …
Yeah, because white people have no soul…

  6. klimtart says:

I hate to say it …
I hate to say it but the timing was a little to white for me . . .
    not enough soul.
    the thunderstorm was cool . . . . sorry.

Oh yeah. I live in …
Oh yeah. I live in Bayern and hop over to Czech, Hungary and Poland every chance I get. Albania’s nice, too though I’ve only visited once. I’d love to go back.

  13. azimuth361 says:

    Oh, I’m using …
Oh, I’m using Windows Vista and IE8.

  14. azimuth361 says:

    That was very …
That was very clever and well-performed. The intro was brilliant! The guy doing the drumrolls, however wasn’t very convincing. He sounded like… well, like a white guy doing beatbox.
By the way, does anybody know how to turn up the volume when I play internet videos? CD’s, DVD’s and MP3′s play at normal volume. I could hardly hear this.

  15. EyeLean5280 says:

    Yes, the poetry of …
Yes, the poetry of this song is definitely a few cuts above what was usual for early 80s pop music.

  16. EyeLean5280 says:

    The song is Africa, …
The song is Africa, the group is Toto and the lyrics can be googled using the words “lyrics”, “Africa” and “Toto.”

Anyone who has been separated from his/her native culture for a long period (and especially if he/she has left the love of his/her life at home) will recognize themselves in this song.

But even beyond that, the poetic similes (the wild dog’s cries symbolize the aching in the writer’s heart) are just lovely and of a much higher quality than was usual in pop music of the early 80s.

  17. EyeLean5280 says:

    Yes, being both …
Yes, being both young and from Eastern Europe greatly enhances one’s chances of being gorgeous.
