I am kind of a naysayer when it comes to California wines. I am a firm believer that the most overrated wines in the world come from California. Seriously have you ever had a Pinot Noir from Oregon, Washington, or France? That is what it is actually supposed to taste like! If you carefully taste a Pinot Noir that originated in California you will notice a distinct and very unpleasant prune like taste … know why? Because the Pinot grape hates the sun! Why can’t California wine growers get this simple fact through their heads? It drives me crazy! Give it up! California Wine Club
