    I play it exactly …
I play it exactly opposite of how he does it
    I keep the B string constant open and play e0 B0 e2 B0 e3 B0 e5 B0 e3 B0 e2 B0 e0 e0 B4 e0 e2 then the quick little part
    His way works though

  2. BaahFuckOff says:

    Or because it’s a lesson?

  3. Jackavoy899 says:

    hey, do all you …
hey, do all you haters want to know why he’s playing it slowly?
its not cos he’s crap, its because its a LESSON!
he’s showing others how to play. its this sort of bullshit oneupness thats people who play guitar just to look cool thats ruined it for everybody and made it such a disgusting cliche

  4. agentbobbarker says:

    This is 100% …
This is 100% correctly, but it needs to be played full speed, which is hard, and probably why he didn’t play full speed in the video.

  5. narfire214 says:

    the riff is actully …
the riff is actully played on a sitar

  6. ErikBassRock says:

  9. Shadowsdusks says:

    This doesn’t sound …
    This doesn’t sound nearly right.

  10. OneGuitarGuy says:

    It doesnt need to …
It doesnt need to be perfect, if you are just going to be showing off to your friends.

Instead of alternate picking the open E and the held down fret, I find play both the fretted B string and the open E together can give you a similar sound.

  11. clissold08 says:

    Well, surely you …
Well, surely you can’t say much because you struggle to read a tab an play possibly the easiest song to have ever graced this earth and need the help of a video

  12. theRanciers56 says:

    that dosent sound …
that dosent sound like it a all

  13. statenitaliag21 says:

    hahahaha that is …
hahahaha that is deff the correct translation to his electric, it wasn’t originally a guitar but if you took the time to do what he did and you have a descent crate or just a descent amp, play it double time, he really is not crap, very harsh page, music is supposed to be about vibing and being cool.

  14. paintballstar132 says:

  16. Cloudz2789 says:

    Ah, thanks for …
Ah, thanks for telling me, and I have a sitar myself, but, meh….

  17. smartass2st says:

    Actually, the …
Actually, the opening riff of the song was done by the guitar. And durring the song, Brian Jones would play the same riff with the sitar, while Keith Richards was playing the rhythm. So actually YOUR THE ONE THATS WRONG!!!! Have you even heard an actual sitar before? You probably havnt because if you did then you wouldn’t have even bothered to type ur retarded statement. Sitars and Guitars sound nothing alike.

  18. MissMinor12 says:

    this sounds nothing …
    this sounds nothing like it

  19. Cloudz2789 says:

    Ah, it wasnt a …
Ah, it wasnt a guitar, it was a sitar. SO EVERYONES WRONG! YOUR ALL WRONG!!!!!

  20. tomponstone says:

    this does not sound …
this does not sound like “paint it, black” from the stones at all

  21. smartass2st says:

    No. The song is …
No. The song is played with a capo on the second fret, if your guitar is tuned normally. I tune my guitar 2 steps down, for when I play any beatles songs. So I put the capo on the third fret. But anyway. Its not played single string like that. Thats a corney generic version, and sounds nothing like the real one if you were to play along to the actual song. I cant explain how its played because it consists of different strings, and to tell ya the truth its probably harder than the actual song

  22. Cloudz2789 says:

    It starts on the …
It starts on the 6th fret, don’t it?

  23. smartass2st says:

    ha ha ha
    ha ha ha

  24. ohmygoditsyomamma says:

    well aren’t u a …
    well aren’t u a smart ? lol

  25. smartass2st says:

    WRONG!!!!!!! Every …
WRONG!!!!!!! Every single Paint It Black video on here is wrong. You listen to these cheesy intros and then go listen to the actual song. Its WRONG!!. Ima post a video on how to play it the right way. Its way harder but it sounds exactly the way its supposed to sound. These videos are just showing you cheap shortcuts that sound nothing like the actual song. Thats because Keith Richards never told anybody how its played.
