Internet marketers have long known that the key to generating more sales is to get a solid network of affiliates working for you. Doing so extends your reach exponentially and allows you to cover much more virtual ground with minimal effort. Imagine having ads and links to your products on thousands of diverse websites instead of just the hundred or so domains that you own yourself. No one can deny that a great team of affiliates will do wonders for your bottom line.

The only potential headache comes with keeping track of all the sales and commissions. If you’re relatively small-time and just work with a handful of trustworthy individuals, then you could probably get away with basic bookkeeping on an Excel spreadsheet. It’s a bit time consuming for sure, but at least it’s free. However, this method becomes impossible if you have a larger network of affiliates that consistently make a large volume of sales. In this case, I recommend using affiliate tracking software instead of trying to do it all on a spreadsheet.
