These days it seems there are more and more distractions from family life. And as we become increasingly more involved with technology, we have less of a chance to get out into the “great outdoors.”
It seems the only “outdoor exercise” a lot of people get these days, especially our young ones, is taking place in front of the amazing innovation of the Wii set, doesn’t it!
Well, I don’t know about you, but I can’t think of a better time to get some good old fashioned outdoor activity as well as great quality family time as taking a fishing trip for my favorite quarry: the carp fish! It gives me a chance to teach my kids all about life, and they get to learn how to use skills such as prepping their carp fishing tackle. It might not be a skill they can immediately apply elsewhere, but at least it gets us all outdoors and together!
Spring is coming up, and a camping trip might be in order… and we’ll be packing our fishing rods for sure!
